Hi there and welcome. My name is J. I wish to tell stories about everyday life, the people I see and observe, the spaces I live in and travel to. I love to capture moments and situations of what I see and experience in photography.
I live in Berlin, the city I was born and grew up in, the city that I love and (sometimes) hate. In my street there is a brothel, a nursery school, a co-working space, a Turkish wedding decoration shop and an ’intergalactical citizens office’. The street is a small microcosm of all that Berlin has to offer. This central European city is full of cultural inspirations, influences of migrant culture, history of the division between East and West Germany, modern architecture, cool design and fashion outlets as well as forgotten buildings, places and people – and much more.
This blog is my digital companion – a collection of images, thoughts, quotes and writings that shake my life. It is a mosaic of different ideas that are dear to me.
All photographs are mine – unless otherwise designated. They are not to be used without prior permission. You may link to material on this blog provided you include proper attribution. Thank you.
